Emerging at an altitude of over 700 metres on the southern crest of the Corbières, the Château de Quéribus, the best-preserved of the Aude's high fortresses, projects its elegant silhouette above a superb panorama from the sea to the Pyrenees.
You will be able to see its magnificent Gothic room in the dungeon, built over 700 years ago.
The last bastion of Cathar resistance, then a citadel on the border of France, this royal fortress benefits from a strategic location which allows it to exercise remarkable surveillance over the Roussillon plain.
