For the first time, our city will be at the center of a stage of the most famous cycling race in the world, offering an unprecedented sporting spectacle on the Aude coast. The Gruissan-Nîmes stage of the 2024 Tour de France promises to be an unmissable event for sprinters and speed enthusiasts. 187 kilometers long, this portion of the Grande Boucle offers a mainly flat profile, ideal for sprint finishes.
The excitement will be at its height as runners and spectators converge on Boulevard Pech Maynaud, the starting point. The marina will indeed be one of the witnesses to the passage of some of the most enduring athletes on the planet. The route, designed between land and sea, promises technical challenges for cyclists and breathtaking panoramas for fans. The competition will be intense.
