Espace Balnéo

Relaxation in cocooning mode or giant slides

Sometimes the weather forces us to slow down and take time for ourselves. Take the opportunity to push the door of the Espace Balnéo. Sauna, hammam, jacuzzis, it's paradise for letting go. There is also an outdoor Nordic pool and a few deckchairs for lounging in the shelter of the wind. You can choose the water park option with its giant slides, paddling pool, swimming pool and inflatable games for an aquatic afternoon with your feet wide open.

Supercharged hike

What could be better than blending into the wild nature of Gruissan? Put on your walking shoes and hit the beaten track. The incredible panoramas of the Salin, the Mediterranean or the Pyrenees will enchant you. Please note that the Clape massif is closed in summer. Only the trails on Île St-Martin and around the pond are accessible for encountering pink flamingos. Don't forget your binoculars or cameras! The paths are also accessible to mountain bikes. For everyone's safety and the protection of our magnificent environment, we ask that you follow the marked paths.

Gastronomic break

After all these activities, a small gourmet break is essential. Head to the restaurants and cafes of Gruissan to taste local specialties that will warm your heart. Follow the label "My restaurant promotes local fishing" to eat Gruissanot fish. Or go every morning to the points of sale, such as the Ayrolle pond or the Halle de la pêche, to buy the catch of the day directly from the fishermen. As a dessert, the pine nut pie is the sweet delicacy to be tested absolutely during a visit to Gruissanaise. Without forgetting the local producers and wine estates that welcome you.
Le salin de l'ile St Martin

Cultural visit

Since the wind is not calming down, why not take the opportunity to discover the cultural heritage of Gruissan? The Salin de Gruissan is an essential visit for young and old. You can choose the guided tour or just go to the shop in search of a pot of fleur de sel. Stroll through the narrow streets of the old village built in a circular pattern, enter the Notre Dame de l'Assomption church, a jewel of Languedoc architecture. In case of strong wind, we advise against climbing the Barberousse tower, which is very exposed. If you prefer to be accompanied, check the schedule of walks and visits at the Tourist Office: on foot, by bike, in an electric Fiat 500… every day in summer Gruissan Tourisme takes you on a discovery of our territory.
