The LPO Occitanie (League for the Protection of Birds) is a regional Local Association of the LPO France network, which aims to act for birds, wildlife, nature and humans, and fight against the decline of biodiversity, through knowledge, protection, education and citizen mobilization.
The first naturalist association in France, the LPO works in Aude to preserve fauna, flora and landscapes, it also offers daily nature activities to raise awareness and introduce biodiversity to school groups, businesses and the general public.
In Gruissan, the LPO also welcomes you from July to November, on tramontane days on the Roc de Conilhac, a hotspot for monitoring bird migration in France. However, the site is accessible all year round, it is marked and has several educational panels.
