On Thursday 6 April at Château le Bouïs, the Tourist Office organized the first edition of the " professional workshops ". The aim was to enlighten the actors of the territory on the new trends in tourism and to give them the keys to adapt their strategy.

For first time in Gruissan, three professional workshops were offered to service providers, producers and restaurateurs from Gruissan. This morning brought together a hundred people around three subjects.

The workshop "The 15 good practices to have on social networks" was led by Nelly BOIS, Head of the communication department and Mathias SZANTO in charge of web and NTIC. More than ever, social media have become essential in tourism. How to exploit the potential of these communication tools? What are the trends, features, tips to make yourself known without wasting time?

This hands-on workshop unveiled the essentials to know and apply to develop your business.

At the same time, the workshop "Controlling your e-reputation, a key challenge within your reach" was presented by Elodie GALSOMIES, in charge of professional relations and Marie-Claire KIRCHER reception officer and marina communication manager. This workshop was intended to show guests how to manage a review page such as Google or TripAdvisor. The two agents from the Tourist Office therefore discussed Google referencing, the management of reviews and the use of the Fairguest tool, which is essential to help manage, analyze and monitor customer reviews.

These are an important instrument of turnover, caring about them and managing them has a direct impact on your results.

Finally, the “Tourism Quality, a performance lever” workshop was led by Florence SCHMITT, Reception Manager and Alain COMBRES Deputy Director of the Tourist Office.

Here, the goal was to understand how to put yourself forward thanks to the label which is awarded to tourism professionals for the quality of their welcome and their services.

Adhering to a quality approach means equipping yourself with tools to manage your structure and your team in order to progress. It is also a landmark and a sign of trust for visitors.

Subsequently, Mayor Didier CODORNIOU spoke: this concept of “professional workshops is an opportunity for the service providers of the resort and for the destination to increase our visibility”.

In a competitive, demanding and constantly changing world, the mission of Gruissan Tourisme is to put in place a strategy to support and develop the tourist activity of the destination in a sustainable way. Our goals ? The development of a qualitative offer, the strengthening of the attractiveness of the destination for customers, the economic vitality of the sector and support for transitions.

These workshops are intended to enlighten the actors of our territory on the trends of tourism, in order to allow them to better adapt their offer to the expectations of the customers and to the evolutions of the modes of consumption. It is also an opportunity to give them the keys to adapting their marketing strategies and positioning. Also, this first edition of the Ateliers Pros is part of a global approach instilled in recent years by the Tourist Office, that of involving all the forces in the promotion of the destination so that Gruissan shines even more meaningfully.

Gruissan Tourisme is pleased to announce a second edition of the "pro workshops" for the year 2024.
